Welcome to the Year5/6 blog for the coming school year. In this blog you will find up to date information about school, advice and guidance about your homework and anything else that is of relevance to Y5/6 pupils. In time, I hope that this blog will develop into a celebration of our work together, a representation of your enthusiasm in school and show the progress you have made in 2011-12.
Singers, dancers, musicians, gymnasts and comics all did thenselves and The Grove proud. Well done to all who took part and CONGRATULATIONS to Jake Harvey, a worthy winner.
I hope your looking forward to the event as much as I am. It's always a pleasure to see you guys get up onstage and do your stuff!! Hope your watching, Mr Cowell!
I hope you're enjoying the work on graffiti. This is a 'Banksy' classic that I thought I would share with you. Remember, this week our focus is the argument AGAINST graffiti.
Also, just a reminder for you Year 6s to keep working through your revision guides for your SATs in May.
If you have any Harry Potter books at home please bring them into school as they will be a focus in literacy this week! The Philosophers Stone and Goblet of Fire will be particularly useful.
I hope you enjoyed the activities today and have had chance to use your cards to access the World Maths Day website. Remember that your homework is due in on Friday.
Thank you all for dressing up and making World Book Day such good fun! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. Don't forget, it's World Maths Day on Wednesday this week and parents/carers are once again invited into school to see what is going on.
